A few weeks ago, I was in a rough spot: my wife's car wasn't working, our computers were broken, and money was incredibly tight. In desperation, I posted to a couple of subreddits, asking if anyone would be interested in buying my music. I really didn't know what (if anything) to expect. Sometimes, the worst response is dead silence.
But reddit seriously surprised me. Several redditors (including DarkSynapse, DarkTwist, stilesjp, JustAnotherAlien, and pimterry) bought one of my albums, and even gave quite a bit more than the price of $8. I was shocked to sign in to my Gmail in the morning and see the transaction messages from BandCamp. And not only that, but I received a ton of excellent advice, well-wishing, and even feedback on my music.
Bottom line: reddit lifted a load from my shoulders. I've got both computers back up and running again, and the car is working too. I can't express with words how much your help and support means to me.
Thank you.
